On 7th September 2005 we had a spotting trip to Brussels. Mainly this was so I could get an IB CRJ on video, but I also photographed other aircraft as well. My camera is a small zoom compact, so I can't get the same close ups and details that other photographers get with planes, but I did my best. Photos taken with sport mode, weather very hot and sunny. All aircraft are approaching to land on 25L.

Swiss Sun. I didn't notice the Sun bit until I enlarged the photo after.

VLM's logojet OO-VLM. My first VLM bagged on finals to BRU, usually I get them at LCY.

I've bagged loads of BA Airbuses, but never one in flight before.

Thanks Matt. The Swiss Sun is my favourite one too. Most planes that day were A319/320s or CRJs (apart from the Belgian regional jets).

Thanks for the comments. I am not 100% sure about Swiss Sun, but from the name I can only assume that they are a charter section of Swiss who fly to holiday places. Maybe that was the only aircraft available to them at that time because they are a new one to me as well. Usually the Swiss ones I've seen at BRU have been just ordinary Swiss titled ones.

Great shots there louise!

Yes Swiss Sun is a charter arm of Swiss. It flies A320 in a dense config (all economy) to places like AGP and ALC from ZRH. i'm sure it was just filling in for a usual A320 on the 7th :)
