-have you got the FSScreen programme?
to pan around an aircraft in the 'spot' view, use the number pad with num lock on. try combining numbers by pressing 5 and 6 together, or 1 and 5 etc etc as this will give more views/angles.
i hope thats what you are after

Hi,
I've only been using (or should that be flying?) FS2004 for a few weeks and think i'm doing pretty well.
I've seen the thread with all the screenshots in, but was wondering how people get such good shot!!!
I know how to grab a screenshot, but there must be some other key's involved in panning around the aircraft that i've not spotted in the manual as mine are always boring shots from behind the aircraft...
Anyone care to help an idiot in distress?
