-Will you be taking photos Michael MCR, nothing of great interest on this forum this morningFor sure!!
My aviation thing is really a side-interest for my photography and a general interest in the activity around the airport - i am not a "spotter" as such - the serials / markings / movements dont interest me at all.
All i need is some sunlight and a fence free spot :)

-I was also planning on going today, until I saw the weather. :(Guess i am lucky that i live just a few miles away and can be at any part of the airport in 10 - 15 mins, so can react to changes in the weather quite easily.Maybe tomorrow...

-How did it go yesterday Michael MCR, get any decent pics to post?Nope !! - a total disaster
Got delayed - grabbed my camera bag and went out last minute - finally got to my fave rotation point southside about 4pm ( touchdown point yesterday as they were using 06R ).
Stepped out of the car and walked into the field - looked to the left and saw in the distance what looked like a Hercules on finals.
i pulled my camera out and then remembered the CF card was still in the card reader on my PC and the spare card was sat on the desk next to it !!!!!!
looked back up just in time to see the Antonov float out of the mist and touchdown - Aaarrrrggggghhhh !!!!!!
I took it all as a sign from God so packed up and went straight back home ( photography would have been lousy anyhow as a combination of low mist and low sun at southside was enveloping the runway in a yellow foggy haze )

-I'm glad I stayed at the airport longer to see the AN124 :D As some spotters left when they heard it was going to be late :p

I got there, looked out and because of the haze could just see a vague sillouette on finals.
thought at first it was a regional type jobbee
Then i thought it was a Galaxy type aircraft on finals
Then i thought "my thats BIG !!!" and guessed it was an Antanov :)
