-Hi
Dose anyone know if venice has been dropped from LBA & MAN??
If Venice is on for summer 2006 that would make 19 routes for LBA. But it has been stated in the past Jet2 had dropped the Venice services from LBA and MAN. That would make just 18 destinations from LBA.
On the Jet2 website it's still showing Venice as a destination and the timetable page is still on. But the route is not bookable at the moment.

Originally Jet 2 were going to reinstate Venice after the Winter however I am lead to believe now that this is a long term move, but we could see Venice reapear sometime in the future. Very surprised to see Mahon on the new map as Larnaca and Las Palmas were higher on the list of favourites for LBA with Jet 2.

-On a Tuesday, there is a 20 minute turnaround in Mahon. Is that a mistake or do they really believe that they can turn a 737 around in such a short space of time?

-Isn't 20 minutes meant to be industry standard for LoCos now?
By: 9th November 2005 at 16:21 Permalink - Edited 1st January 1970 at 01:00
-20 minutes is usually achieved at tiny airports, but normally in busier ones in summer like Menorca they have a 35 minute turnaround. Easyjet have that on their services to spain

-Superb news, that completes the Balearic 'trilogy' :).
No offence, but id like the next route to be more of a city based route, come on Jet2, Berlin! Not moaning about any new routes though :), 19 routes.. Jet2 have really come a long way!
They spot all the underserved charter destinations, and make a killing!

-Duesseldorf is an interesting choice, would have thought Berlin would be more attractive to tourists, great to see Milan and Venice as well.
I would be surprised if they didnt start a longer route personally, such as Las Palmas/Arrecife or Paphos/Larnaca.
I had a dream last night (seriously!), that Jet2 launched routes to Africa from LBA, and they also launched Dalaman and Norwich from LBA! They announced all the African destinations, and Larnaca from MAN, and they established a base in Dakar! God the things you dream about..

From what I understand Las Palmas and or Arrecife and Larnaca are future routes for next winter from LBA.
