Great pictures there! Is the spot you took them from within relatively easy walking distance of the terminal? I need to check that place out!

Trust me, it isn't!

However, there is a way to get to a spot close to that location by public transport - except on Sundays. PM me if you want details.

Cheers for the comments guys...my personal favourite is the head on A330!

Due to the way the 24L rises at the end, I can't actually see what's thundering down the tarmac untill it's actually airbourne !. I was stood on-top of the wooden fence around the lighting stand (seen in a picture) with my back resting on the lighting cross bar!!!.

As for my equimpent, I'm currently running 2 x Canon EOS 20D's one with a Sigma 18-200DC lens (all these shots where taken with this) and the other usually has a Canon 100-400L IS Lens :)

ISO was set at 400 as it was quite dark, +1/3 stop exposure and all shot at Large JPG as I forgot my memory cards and only had a 512Mb.

Oh and it's one hell of a hike to get to the threshold of 06R  , even with a car to get you half way there!

Here's the EXIF data for the QATAR shot if you want to see the settings!
