Had a very nice day at AMS. Most likely the last of the year, but I had good weather (a first this month) and a lot of interesting visitors. How about a Pelitta F100 that is here for maintenance. Or a Atlantic An-72. Seeing the first Turkish A330, only delivered a few weeks ago, was very nice too!

As usual more on my site.

Awesome photos! You've captured the KLM 747 rotation perfectly!

Are the most popular spotting places at AMS accessible by bus? I make semi-regular trips to AMS, but don't drive, so tend to spend most of the time on Panorama Terrace. Is there an easy way of getting around the airport via public transport?

Cheers

Yes there are easy ways around to some of the spots. In fact, all the photos shown above can be had from places accessible by bus. The photos of the ATP and the parked F70 are at Schiphol Oost. The others alongside the Kaagbaan.

Oost is accesible with bus 190, 191, 196, 198 and 199. However, this place normally only has biz jets and an occaisonal KLM or charter narrow body. Should be a little under 20 minutes drive by bus.

The Kaagbaan is accesible by 191, 193 or 198. Get of at busspot Aalsmeerderweg. That's a 15 minutes drive. From there another 15 minutes walk and that's all there is to it. More details, maps etc at my website.

Canon 10D with a Sigma 70-300 4.0-5.6 lense.

and what shutterspeed was the KLM 747?
KLM was nothing special, just 1/500th.
Transavia '700 was 1/30th.
Alitalia at my site was 1/20th.

excellent photo's and nice website too:)
Thank you!
