-Advertised fares dont include tax though sadly, and the tax in some cases doubles the advertised fare (Belfast is £82 return and not £40 as advertised)

-More good news. Not only are they recruiting cabin crew at CWL, but also a marketing exec to mangae effective advertising/promotion, something that Air Wales has seriously lacked in the past, and a revenue & route manager to develop new routes and partnerships, which can only mean they have further expansion planned :D

-They'll be off again this time next week :D.
Seriously, good luck to them, the Air Wales route structure is that random I haven't got a clue where they fly! Manchester - Rennes? What's that all about!

-Yeh its a bit scattered with NQY, EXT, MAN, JER & WAT all having just one route each, but at least they appear reasonably priced and well timed. They have also started calling CWL their hub too, it's good to see them finally say that, it gives a clear indication as to where most expansion will be

-Air Wales have updated their routemap. It is really confusing as it shows EXT-CWL instead of PLH-CWL and Swansea is located on the map.
Why is Swansea on thier?
They need to make it interactive or something as it is very confusing and difficult to read:D

-Oh yeh, forgot RNS. On the website they are marketing it as Brittany, not Rennes. Also a bit worried.... although it doesn't appear on any of the lists or bookable destinations, on the route map SWS has been re-added. It hasent been on there for ages, so why add it now? lets hope they don't go back down that route.

It is satrange that SWS is lshown on the routemap. It has only just changed and it looks like they might be going back down that route again :-

-They really need to clear the 'New' routes that don't run any more off their news. It's hard enough trying to keep up as it is!

-Well at least it's been updated - pity the timetable for CWL - BHD doesn't show the full flight nos although the booking engine does - the return fares seem to be around £80 incl taxes etc - a casual check on WW's from BFS don't show any significant savings.
On the subject of CWL - BHD, despite Aer Arann assuring me by e-mail that their fares would be bookable from the beginning of this month, still nothing showing on their website - does anyone else suspect they will quietly drop this one before it even gets off the ground?

-It's possible. I mean, it's a bit much having 3 airlines operating twice daily flights to Belfast. RR haven't updated their route map to include CWL either. Still doesn't explain why they haven't given details of the DUB flights though. Unless they've decided to drop that too, seeing as 6G will continue to operate it and FR have upped frequncy to 10Xweekly.
breif bit of news: planning permission has been granted for a new 736 temporary car park to be built on a greenfield site within the boundaries of CWL. It is being built as passenger numbers are set to rise by as much as 20% this year. However it only has permission to stay there for 3 years. The VOG council have urged the airport to build new multistories instead, and airport manager, Jon Horne, has confirmed that a new multistory is the next major building development at the airport, and should be completed within the 3 years.

-The CARDIFF-PARIS BEAUVAIS AND CARDIFF-BRUSSELS seem to be doing well in terms of bookings.
It looks like thses routes could be succesful.

Finally Air Wales has given it's website, www.airwales.com, a much neeeded update. They have given details of all the new routes that have been appearing, and they are all bookable. They have also put a few new promotional icons on the home page, and the biggest change is..... A NEW TRAVEL WEBSITE!!!!! www.airwalestravel.co.uk !!! It's the website for their new travel venture called Air Wales Travel. It allows you to book accomodation with your flights through them. Fares on the new routes are all cheap, which is unusual for Air Wales, and fares on services to PLH (only £16), NCL & ABZ have taken a cut too. All good news then!!! :D All we need now is for them to make a success of these new routes and boost popularity of the existing ones, and, dare I say it, with these lower prices and the new frequencies and timings, I think theres a very good chance that they will do just that! :D
