Hi,

I recently bought FS2004, just trying to get an idea of the best planes that you may have downloaded from avsim-if you can do a link that'd be great as i am not ure which are the good ones, all i have so far is a My Travel 757/767 which is great. Also does anyone have a new painted My Travel 320 thats not AI? Also are the add on packs worth getting e.g. british airports etc? Finally does anyone else have trouble with the 767 at take off particularly at manchester-its 50/50 as to whether you get it off the runway in time in my experience?

Thanks

MyTravel84 what 767 are you talking about?

Favourite planes are

PSS Dash8 Q300
PSS Boeing 777
PMDG 747
PMDG 737 600/700/800/900

Freeware planes, then Posky, IFDG.

My personal favourite FS2004 aircraft is the Aeroworx King Air 200. It is payware but I can vouch for the fact that it is very realistic.

Hmm..

In the way of payware stuff, I've got the Level-D 767, PMDG 747, FiftyNorth 737s, PMDG 737-600 through to -900 and the Wilco ERJ-145. My favourite of these would have to be the PMDG 737s.

In terms of freeware add-ons, I've always liked the Project Open Sky 767s, in particular, the version 4 models. The 767-200s are great.

But iFDG also produce some fantastic quality aircraft, too. I've got plenty of their A320s on my computer.

There are so many lovely aeroplanes out there....ones that spring to mind are the Bucker Jungmann, Auster Mk.5, Beech 18, Spartan Executive, Tim Conrad's T-28 and Helio Courier, Yak-18T...the list goes on and on.

Never tried an airliner..........

Its the 767-300ER in My Travel C/S by project opensky. Its strange as i have got the Air 2000 version and it takes off fine from 6L but the My Travel always ends up on the grass - could it just be a dud plane?

And I am a big fan of the Dreamwings Design Embraer 135/145 family. You will find a lot of liveries on avsim and on Dreamwings Design. The airplane behaves a little bit strange first but after a while you will get used to it.

Deano,

If you like the PSS DH8C, have you tried the majestic DH8C?

It costs a lot, but well worth it : http://www.majesticsoftware.com/c/portal_public/layout?p_l_id=1.2&p_p_id=54&p_p_action=0&p_p_state=maximized&p_p_mode=view&_54_node_id=15&_54_page_title=DashQthree

Have a read through the features, it's incredibly realisitc!

Flown it for a week now and it's a step up from the PSS Dash 8 300...

Can't keep my hands of it :dev2: :D !

Regards,
Martyn.

Hi.

Depends if you are into military flying or civil. If like me you are more of of an airline pilot then IFDG and Project Opensky aircraft are top class although IFDG aircraft only seem to work well in very high spec PC's otherwise your frame rates will be affected. In terms of military the best one I have come across is the ex payware BaE Hawk available from fsfield.com. It is a fantastis plane to fly and doesn't affect frames.

Fav: Majestic DHC8
Also have the PSS DHC8, but the only feature I like about the PSS version of DHC8 is the bitmaps. In every other way; Majestic is the best one!
