-I do love listening to that site, happened to be listening when that Midwest B717 had the emergency landing at BOS not long back, gives a whole new perspective on the thing. Can listen for ages.

-Interesting that they cut short the phoenetic letters.
Also, for such a busy airport they are so more relaxed, dont seem to have any structure behind what they say!
Regardless of making a mistake with the readback, could it not be language barriers? I would have put a rather angry complaint in about that kind of attitude!
Saying that though when I had my flight deck trip once upon a time (when Air 2000 was still a name in date ;)) The Spanish ATC were atrocious!

-When i was departing New York the controller was very relaxed and had a long conversation with the MaxJet 757 about how well they were doing. Pilots seemed to be American!

-That voice has been a source of entertainment on more than one occasion, very distinct and 'aggressive.'

Maybe the Pilots seemed to be American because Maxjet are American? Just a thought :diablo: Of course Maxjet is a B762, whereas Eos is a B752

-New Yorkers are generally a bit sassy, but the Iberian Pilot wasn't exactly cooperative in following instructions.

Poor Iberia, they get the full brunt of a wonderful JFK ground controller. I do like American's response:
ATC: Did Iberia just cut in front of you American?!?!
AMR: Yeah, but he's bigger....
:D
