I know Jet2 seems to be a popular airline on this forum given the strong northern following so I'd be grateful if anyone could answer these questions (btw they're not for anything special just to satisfy my wonderings!)

1). How many aircraft do they base at each base?

2). Do/did they operate night freight flights with the QC aircraft?

3). How old now are the 737-300's?

4). What (if any) expansion plans are anticipated?

Many thanks :) :D

1) Cant speak for other bases, but at the moment at LBA, they have 7 737-300s and 2 757-200s based.

2) Yes :)

3) Just to pick a couple of examples, G-CELS was built 1986, G-CELF 1988, G-CELD 1987, all seem to be around late 80s.

4) Lots of rumours are always going around, from LBA the most constant rumour was the German flights, which is now come off with DUS been launched. More rumours seem to be New York from LBA or MAN, whether this comes off who knows, and more Canaries flights from LBA (LPA seems to be a popular bet), as well as the likes of Larnaca. Apparantly will be launching citybreaks from Blackpool as well.

Hope this answers some of your questions. :)

In BFS we currently only have 1 x B733 in the Winter, this also operates overnight mail flights to EMA.

This Summer we should have 2 x B733's, which is the same as last year.

I'm Hoping for more Jet2 routes from BFS later this year as easyjet seem to have stopped expanding at BFS at the moment.

Hope this helps!

EDI has something like 3 based, all QCs, but the passenger ops only require 1. Strong rumours here that the B752s will be visiting EDI on a regular basis next summer, or earlier...
