-I should have said your system is perfectly adequate enough to run FS9.
Why spend more money?

-that is a very nice system, but if you do want to upgrade the graphics card, i would recommend the Geforce 6600GT - i think it gives me awesome results, but it isn't the most powerful out there, and it won't break the bank (or atleast i think so - certainly no where near the small fortune that you need to give up to buy the newest top cards). they are going for about £90-100.

-Spend as much as you can afford and then try for a little bit more...!! I have a pair of Geforce 6800GTs in SLI and it is stunning, but the difference from just one is negligible...

-I concur with Adam, I have the 6600GT as well, all my sliders are maxed out to the full and I hit 25fps nearly all of the time, after installing FS Traffic 05 it hit my frame rates down to 20fps, this is with activesky 6 installed too

-I have an XFX GeForce 6800GS Ultra XXX 256MB PCI-e, and FS9 (And Others) runs beautifully, also with all sliders on MAX. :D
Deano...
I have my frame rate "Locked" at 35fps, and the game sits at 34.8 constantly. ;)
Mind you, to be fair I dont run FS Traffic or any similar add-ons, just FS9.

-Ah yes, same here, I also have that awful fx5600 256mb card... when I have some money I will probably also replace it with a 6600GT or better.

-Two Graphics Cards
I ve heard that you can use 2 graphics cards. When i connect my 6600gt is it possible to also use my old fx5600??

Yes that's excellent, and to be honest I have never tried to lock mine above 25fps, I set it as that for a ball park figure and it stayed there, it will probably go higher but I was happy with it, thats some great frame rates you have there, but my card only cost 100 smackers ;) I also have all the add-ons under the sun so I'm relatively happy with 20fps all the while

-Arnie321 - you can only do this if one of your cards is PCI - there is also the option of a mobo with 2 AGP slots, but these are pretty rare.. Or perhaps two PCI-E cards running in the same rig MIGHT work if not in SLI mode....

Im pretty sure that both cards have to be identical. there are motherboards (as Chris has explained) that you can get so you can use two cards, where they each do 50% of the workload, but the cards have to be identical models - you can't use the 5600 with the 6600.

-In fact you can use 2 different cards - lets say an Nvidia 6800 in the AGP slot and an nvidia 5200 in a PCI slot - this way you can setup a basic multimonitor system....

-I had that problem until I downloaded the latest drivers for my 6600GT, something does not sound right, that card is a GPU as well so it should not rely on your CPU, what memory have you got installed?
