Been thinking of getting me-self one of them new fangled TFT monitors.

Prefer 19", found an LG one that's 8ms response.

(LG L1915SS 19" TFT 8ms 500:1 (1280x1024) Monitor - ebuyer price £174 incl' VAT).

Does, or has, anyone got any experience with this monitor for gaming and flight sim?

If so I would like to hear your views please, or suggestions for a 19" around the same price(ish).

Many Thanks.

I opted for a ViewSonic VX924. It's a thing of blisteringly fast performance and beauty :)

I would personally recommend trying to stretch a tiny bit further budgetwise and get a 20" that will let you run @ 1600x1200 - it makes a HUGE difference and the prices are dropping all the time.... I have a nice Acer 24" TFT that I use on my fsim PC and its bloody fab!

Sounds nice.....one thing though - can anyone really tell the difference between a 4ms and say a 12ms tft display? I personally cant see it (no pun intended!)

i have a vx924, viewsonic has released an even better model the vx922 with 2ms response. the colours are very vibrant, the image is sharpat hi res. the only downside is the bezel (fee;s a bit cheap) but apart from that its great for games and movies.

Ive had the Viewsonic VP730 17" 8ms for just over a week now. its a wonderful piece of kit. Video and DVDs as well as Flight Sim look especially stunning on it.

one of the ergonomic +'s is that it is a really adjustable screen - i can rotate the screen to portrait and its height and angle adjustable.

what is missing though are reviews of the screen on the net - there are very few of them around.
