My cousin might be starting up his own airline. The airline will operates from U.K airport to Pakistan. He is planning to invest in a airbus. But it is still yet unknown which one. Is this a good idea because my cousin is limited on money and dosent want to take any risks and is highly unkliky he will suceed what do you think ?

He'll be better with an Boeing 767 Aircraft if He is considering operating out off LBA Short Runway 32/14 Compered to the Airbus A300 or the larger A330.

This has been proven by both Thomsonfly flying direct to Bridgetown-Barbados direct and Swefly operating to Lahore with a good load off Cargo.

Just another Thought. Which UK airports are we talking about actually. The likes of MAN, LGW, BHX and LHR or the smaller airports like LBA,NCL,BRS and so on????

Setting up an airline takes alot of work, doesn't take overnight.
He will have to work out, how to promote the airline, suitable equipment, running costs and of course would need at least 2 aircraft.
Having one plane going tech can be very disastorius in a one plane only fleet.

Make that 500 pounds in pennies and you got yourself a bet. ;)

Anyone that asks advice from a webforum is on a guaranteed path to failure.
