-He means, SriLankan is an airline that may not have been commented on before (like a trip report) :)

Okay this is my first trip report so please dont critisise me to much!!
So the taxi came at 12:00 in the afternoon! We put all our cases in the back of the car and set off from my house. Our flight was not until 21:45 but my dad insisted on leaving early to avoid traffic on the M25 and long que's to check in and get through to departures. So as we neared LHR on the 25 we had still seen no major traffic! 1 Hour 20 minutes after leaving my house we arrived at LHR terminal 4!There was no traffic around and checkin didn't open till 18:00. Shortly after arriving we went inside the terminal and sat at the chairs down next the check in desks and the afternoon UL flight(4R-ADC) pulled on to its gate. I knew we had a long wait!!
At around 16:30 my dad went and stood at the front of the que. At around 17:00 people started to arrive to check in. So the check in girls arrived from KLM and checked us in. It didn't take long (about 5 mins). We then went airside and went to a cafe (costa i think) and ordered 4 pepsi and 4 cheese and ham panini's. They were quite nice just you couldn't taste the ham!! So we sat at the cafe for a whistle (i did some spotting of course. But unfortually my mum packed he camera because she thought we were not aloud it on-board)
A couple of hours past then our flight arrived (the aircraft was 4R-ADF) and it taxiied to gate 11. We headed off to gate 11 and the boarding call came out over the speaker thing (sorry i dont no how to speal it) We boared the aircraft and went to our seats (55A 55C 56A 56C). When we sat down i had a look at the route and it took us over:
southern Holland, central Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, northern Hungary, Romania, the Black sea, northern Turkey, northern Iraq, southwestern coast of Iran, Pakistan and India.
The films I watched were RV and over the hedge. The rest of the time I was watching airshow.
About an hour into the flight dinner menu was handed out. I chose to have the herbed chicken. It was nice at the time(just the after taste was a bit sickly). It came with the usual bread roll and butter wirth marmalade and jam along with a tomato salad and a pudding that did not look that apertising.
As we flew over Turkey we did a turn towards Tehran to avoid flying over Iraq which changed our route now to down the centre of Iran. as we got more over Iran daylight started to come up from the horizon. I was hopeing to be able to see things around but we couldn't as it was to bright.
We began our decent as passed over the southern tip over India and sri lanka was in site we got down to around 2000 feet we did alot of turning around on the approach to runway 04
On arrival to colombo i made 3 UL 320's 2 UL 330's and there was 2 UL 340's there as well. Plus the 2 UL AN-12 leased and the two UL air taxi planes
Getting through customs there was really quick and got our bag's. We were out of the airport within 30 minutes. The transfer time to the hotel was 3 hours although it was only 40 miles away.
Part 2 will follow later in the week
