Well after a great weekend in Swansea it was time to come home. So Arriving at BRS on the flyer rather hungover at around about 3pm I made my way over to subway and bought a 1 foot long cheese steak with the help of a pint of orange juice I demolished in minutes. I found a comfortable seat in the cafe area and looked out onto the apron, well what I could see of it:
Aircraft on stand included:
Easy jet; 3 maybe 4 A319S
BA connect : 1 ERJ 145
Flyebe: 1 BAe 146
By now I had read FHM from front to cover so I went to WHSMITH and purchased Nuts magazine sat down in the down stairs coffee bar awaiting a reasonable hour to go check in.
So after striking up a conversation with a gourgous young lady from Glasgow I headed over to check in for my flight. Easy jet have desks 1-12 at Bristol so I joined the queue and waited for a desk to become available. Desk 3 soon become open so I made my way over and placed my rucksack on the bag belt only to be told I would have to take it down to the oversized luggage area due to the risk of the straps getting stuck in the belt. I thought this was rather daft as at NCL I merely placed my bag in a box which then went off down the belt. Anywho after sorting out my bag if made my way to the departures lounge meeting the young lady from Glasgow on the way chatting with her as we headed for the security area I emptied out my pockets and still managed to set of the alarm, so after been padded down I grabbed my bits and pieces and headed for the bar where I grabbed a pint of Guinness and awaited my flight to be called saying goodbye to the lass from Glasgow I looked up to the departures screen to find that my flight was delayed till 21.05 no bother I just grabbed a quick snack and made my way down to the book store for a looksie.
Soon enough my flight was called for and I made my way to Gate 5 and waited for boarding soon my group was called forward and I made my way out onto the ramp to be greeted with my ride home Newcastle based 737-700 G-EZJZ "Ray Webster" after been greeted at the aircraft door by a gourgous Geordie purser I made my way to the wing escape seat once more. Soon the flight was boarded and push back commenced, We then made our way up the runway as the main taxi way is been resurfaced made a U turn and blasted down the runway to begin our flight.
Once airborne it became clear that due to heavy turbulence it was not going to be possible for the cabin crew to do there in-flight snack service so I switched on my ipod and listened to my newly downloaded Killers album until I could make out the lights of Middlesbrough and Sunderland *shudders*. The aircraft now commenced its decent into Newcastle making a soft left turn just over the mouth to the river Tyne.
Soon we were passing over the freshold of runway 25 and came to a quick stop, looking out onto the apron at NCl I could make out:
Jet2.com: 1 737-300
Flyjet: 1 757-200
Easyjet: 1 737-700
Vega: 1 AN-12
Soon we came to a halt at our stand and disembarkation commenced over on the domestic side of the apron I saw:
Ryanair: 1 737-800
British airways: A319
Heading for the baggage collection area I soon grabbed my bag headed into the terminal out the door and smelt Geordie land again!!
Thanks for reading guys¬!!!
