Gr8 pic Ja. do you know what a/c the pic was taken from? They must use pretty small a/c there if the a/c movements are high and being so close to Sydney.

Yeah they use small to medium sized a/c here, and alot of regional services are based here.
Basicly everything comes here, and during the weekend of the airshow, QANTAS flies in a 747, the middle run way 28 (if memory serves) is the longest. It's always amazing to see a 747 land here, you think it's not going to make it but some how it does!
There are 5 active runways, and in the top right hand corner you can see the Hawker de Haviland facility. This is where the army's DHC-4 Carribou's and the RAAF's PC-9's where built as well as the old Vampires. Haven't seen much there in recent years but at Bankstown there's always something to see, this is also where the warbirds most get redone and is where my cousins Mig-15 is (#####)!

Bankstown Airport, Australia's busiest airport in terms of annual aircraft movements, is situated 22 kilometres south-west of Sydney's central business district and 5 kilometres west of Bankstown city centre.
