Hello fellow flyers.
Can anyway help me with a problem I'm having with my free PC Pilot discs. I cant seem to get the freeware planes (the ones with autoload) to load on their own for some reason and my computer keeps wanting to use WINZIP which never used to be the case because I have a number of aircraft in my FS2004 that are from the discs and have loaded with only a click here and there from me. Your help would be greatly appreciated. And sorry if I've posted in the wrong spot.
Happy New Year to all.

This is because they are in WinZip format on the CD, I assume they have done this to conserve space because the CD (well it's a DVD) is packed with goodies this month, just install winzip which is included and go from there, you never know, the autoinstaller could be there once you have unzipped

Hi Dean.

I have loaded up the winzip that came on the disc and still it does not work. The weird thing is, I actually had it working before and for some reason it just doesnt want to do its thing anymore.
I thought that the autoload was actually a special program that fired up once winzip had done its thing.

Thanks again.

Some freeware aircraft come with auto installers whilst others are zipped up and wil require a manual install. If this is the case you will find detailed instructions on how to install the aircraft in the zip file.

If you are still having problems let me know which aircraft you are trying to install with and the CD issue number and we will take it from there

Well hello Administrator.

I had another look at some of my old discs and actually found some aircraft that loaded up without all the drama of manually puting files into FS2004 so I guess I look like a bit of a goose right about now.
Thanks very much for your help. I think I need to perfect my aircraft loading abilities a bit better.

I have always ignored WINZIP in favour of another far more versatile product, WINRAR. and have never had a single problem with downloads and installation.
