-I have just a British Airways 747-400 by Skymarks. What I like about them is that they are only a tiny bit more than the Wooster snap-together models, yet the quality is a million times better, and they are solid!

Cheers for the advice about Ebay, I signed up to it ages ago but have never really used it. I have checked recently for models, but there didnt really seem to be many...:(
Btw, here's a couple of pics of my models for you to admire...
As you can see I also got an EasyJet A319 as well, but I forgot to mention it my initial post...:o !
Enjoy!

That's because they are an American company, although the models themselves are actually made in Taiwain if my memory serves me correct...;)
Prices in US$'s doesnt really offer any significant discount on £'s at the moment, probably because of the infavourable exchange rate...?
I tend to buy my models from my local Modelzone store, although the Spirit MD-80 and United 757 came from the main reception desk at Orlando's Executive Airport whilst I was over there on a school trip, and the Flybe one (my latest purchase!:D) came from The Aviation Experience gift shop at Birmingham International the other week!
One thing that did suprise me though was when I went to the Boeing factory in Seattle last year, I expected there be a whole range of the Skymarks models avaliable to buy (obviously only the Boeing types...:p), but there was only one Skymark model avaliable - the 777 in its 'Worldliner' livery...and the price was horribly expensive, so I decided not to part with my hard earned cash!

-I have two Skymarks models; DHL 757 (1:150) and a Virgin A340-600. I dont like the quality of the A340 model - the windows and titles on one side are in the wrong place so it looks nasty. The DHL model isnt bad.
If you are looking for some really stunning 1:200 scale models, try 200scale.net. They are based in the US and sell Hogan models - I have a JAL 777-300 and its beautiful. I'll get you a shot of it later.:)

I am glad you have said this Adam, because I recently bought the Virgin Atlantic 747-400 model (see my pic in previous post!) in favour of the A340 one because I notice the same issues that you have highlighted. Quite frankly I think the Virgin livery looks better on the 747 in general anyway, but maybe that is because I only get to see 747's at LGW when I am at work - only on very rare occasions do we have an A340 in!

Very good suggestion Adam, it promoted me to research into them a bit, and I have turned up quite a result, a very interesting website that sells a whole range of models (inc. Hogan and Skymarks), and their prices quite reasonable as well...here's the link: http://www.replicaminiatures.com/index.htm
The picture may have been removed from the home page by the time you read this, but doesnt the BA/Loganair DHC-6 Twotter just look stunning! :D
If you cant see the picture on the above link, click on this link: http://www.replicaminiatures.com/SKR303-Twin-Otter-X350opt.gif
Am seriously considering purchasing one for myself...decisions, decisions...lol.

-Does anyone have any recommendations about new models that you would like to see from Skymarks in the near future?
At present there are only two that I can think of...
1. Continental B757-200 (with winglets!)
2. Monarch A320/A321 in their current livery
...but I am sure that there are plenty more that I can think of for the future!
Any suggestions welcome.

Hi all,
Just wondering if any fellow forum members collect Skymark models at all?
I have a begun to collect them, and have so far got 5 in total, ranging from a British Airways and Virgin Atlantic 747-400, a Flybe Dash8-Q400, a United 757-200 and a Spirit Airlines MD-80.
Does anyone know of any good shops/websites that I can buy more of the same type of models from...I paid 20 quid for the Flybe model, which i thought was rather expensive, but not sure where else I can get them from?
