What was going through this muppet's head is anyone's guess. He was lucky a trigger happy cop didn't blow his head off.

A MAN who caused Dublin Airport to be evacuated because he wanted to "make a point" has been jailed for three years.

The court also heard John McHugh, of Mountjoy Square, Dublin 1, caused almost 150 flights to be cancelled or delayed because he was annoyed that a t-shirt he wore in the city centre did not provoke a reaction.

He then hatched a plan to "illicit a reaction" at Dublin Airport on July 4, 2006.

Shouted

McHugh caused chaos when he held a backpack over his head and shouted "Allahu Akbar", "clear the airport" and "I have a bomb and I'm going to set it off".

The court heard that McHugh was wearing a t-shirt on which he had printed: "I salute the Iraqis' right to bear arms." He had worn the shirt on Grafton Street days earlier and was disappointed that no one had reacted to it.

I once caused a reaction at LAX security wearing my "Winona Ryder went shoplifting and all I got was this lousy t-shirt" t-shirt. Unfortunately for me the security operative had just been released from hospital following a 'humourectomy bypass operation' and I was subjected to the full grilling and bollock sniffing by the dog branch.

No flights were cancelled however...:diablo:
