Hi !
I’m one of the “mud movers” of the “C6” squad (France)
Some months ago , I encountered two guys , a pilot of jet to the retirement, and an industry manager. Two simmers , two collectors impassioned by the second world war.The Tarmac Aces Team was born. And we made a dream : to carry out a control stick the most reliable, most precise, most resistant possible, equipped with the exact replica of a handle having existed...
We’ve done it !
The Tarmac Aces team carried out the most precise and most realistic central position control stick existing at the present time. These reports come from all the simmers (from all flight simulations games) which had the opportunity to test it at the Simulation Meeting of Le Bourget the 21 to 23 September.
They expressed their satisfaction as well for its precision as for its realism of catch in hand. We thank them for their analyses and feedbacks which enable us to increase the adequacy of our productions with their whishes.
This performance level is the result of hundreds of hours of research and development that the Tarmac Aces team devoted to this project, and to the technological innovations challenges.
The community initiated and encouraged this challenge. This is why, in accordance with our credo "by simmers, for simmers", we wish to facilitate the access to this level of piloting and feelings at the community.
Even if the budget necessary to the purchase appears significant, once announced at the simmers which had it in hands at Le Bourget Simulation Meeting (21-23 september 2007), it was regarded as amply justified by the users : ... Just have a look on the simmers testimonies in the “news” column of our website!

How very cheeky of you. Your first post and you are flogging something to us!

Is it just me, or is this happening an awful lot at the moment?

We can talk about flight simulation hardware , if you want .
And who designs this hardware .
Are they simmers ? Pilots ?
Are they here , listening to your demands ? :)

Well, I'm sorry, but if you want to advertise, check with the webmaster. We don't allow free ads on the forum.
As you are obviously trying ot sell things, I have edited your post.

Hello, Frankvw

I understand and I respect your task of moderator, but I think that some additional information is currently useful.

Under the name of Tarmac Aces , we are three simmers, impassioned by the second world war. Until now, only impassioned of F16 could practise to them hobby with a replica of existing handle.
Impassioned of warbirds had any handle with central position, nor no replica of handle.

In 2005, "Roll' N Loop" (of squad PBO) launched a subject on the forum "CheckSix!" , intended to fill this gap.
We worked on this project in close cooperation with the simmers attending the forum "CheckSix!" . The result of our work (voluntary: we did not touch one cent for the hundreds of hours of research and development devoted to this project) was tested during the three days of the meetings of the simulation of Le Bourget per a number of simmers.

"By simmers , for simmers" , it's real.

We are based on a small company which trusted us and supports the heavy investments necessary to the manufacture of this "Community realization".
We would like to be able to make it test everywhere in the world, since all those which had it in hand were convinced and allured.
Unfortunately,we don't have these financial means. We are not CHProducts, Thrustmasters or Saitek.

And as this project is a project of simmers, it appears normal to me to inform the simmers of this project while passing by the forums.
I know that one or two webmasters thought that it acted of Spam. I was even banished of a forum. All the others took time to read me and understand that our step is really particular.

Good flight ! :)

Hi pilots !
Some good news from the Tarmac Aces Team :

Our rudder replica is fully operationnal ! You can see it in action on a new column "accessories in action" on our website .

Our R&D work on a shifted axis base is nearly achieved . This base will be able to be equipped with replica sticks of Spitfire , Hurricane or Mosquito , and of course with replicas of multi-engines "horn stick" .

We need some good pictures of Spitfire and Hurricane grips. So, if you have one on your hard drive , it would be nice to show it here .

Good flight !

To answer to the request of many simmers , the Tarmac Aces team conceived and carried out a grip dedicated to acrobatic flight and gliders.
Go and have a look in the "hangar stock" of our webpage !

Many thanks to simmers who helped us , we will be able to carry out soon these projects :

-middle of august 2008 : Parallelogram rudder pedals assembly including nterchangeable pedals
(Luftwaffe, RAF, contemporary Jets...).

-middle of septembre 2008 : shifted universal base and Spade Grip (Spitfire).

-middle of septembre 2008 : yoke for civilian or military multi engines.

-decembre 2008 : gas throttle for contemporary Jets (single engine and twin engine).

Good flight !
