Kedar Kamarkar visits Eielson AFB to speak to the airmen involved in the first Red Flag-Alaska of 2022
Let us talk soccer. First, create a team made up of players with different skills and experience levels from different clubs. Next, increase that team by more than the usual 11 players while expanding the size of the soccer field. Then have them compete with an opposing team with an overwhelming number of players. What do you think will happen? Initially, there will be some confusion before cohesiveness from the players kicks in and they start to perform as one team, achieving effectiveness and, ultimately, success.
This is the intent of multinational air combat exercise Red Flag-Alaska 2022-01, which took place between April 28 and May 13 at Eielson Air Force Base (AFB) near Fairbanks and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) near Anchorage.
