US AIR FORCE LAUNCHES TRAINER COMPETITION

THE USAF FORMALLY launched its hotly anticipated T-X trainer competition on December 30, when it released the final request for proposals for the Advanced Pilot Training (APT) requirement. The new trainer will ultimately replace the service’s fleet of T-38C Talons that are used by the specialized undergraduate pilot training (SUPT) phases.
