X-Plane 11.40 Public Beta released

NEWS

Laminar Research (LR) has announced that X-Plane 11.40 is now in public beta. In the latest version, Austin Meyer, LR CEO, continues to push the boundaries of X-Plane, this time introducing significant updates to the experimental flight model. The main points are: more realistic stalls, improved rotor physics in ground effect and better seaplane float dynamics. For gliders, lift from thermals is more tightly defined and the prop and downwash physics have seen a massive update. The PT6 engine model continues to be refined, this time introducing exhaust thrust.

For a detailed overview of the new features in X-Plane 11.40, Austin Meyer has released a YouTube video, courtesy of Michael Brown, owner of X-Force: https://youtu.be/WROEk_Jv33w.
