DHC-2 Beaver

Chris Frishmuth fulfils his dream of becoming a bush pilot…

MilViz

As a professional pilot, I’m always super enthusiastic about sharing my love for aviation with my family, friends and (unfortunately for them) people I’ve just met. Even though I absolutely love my job as an air ambulance pilot, I think every pilot has a ‘wish list’ of things they’d love to do in aviation. For some it is flying a fighter jet, a big airliner or even going to space. For me, I’ve always dreamed of being a true bush pilot. I’ve probably over-romanticised it in my mind, but the skill and daring it takes to fly off-route into tiny, rugged airstrips in the backcountry provides endless hours of Walter Mitty-esque entertainment for me when I put away my real uniform and pull up to my computer cockpit. All that said, I positively do backflips when something like the MilViz DHC-2 Beaver hits the street. Let’s put on our wool caps, strap on our flying boots and start pouring through our add-on scenery to find the impossible landing strip to test out our plucky MilViz Beaver.
