MALAYSIAN GUARDIANS

The Malacca Strait is the world’s busiest shipping lane — linking sea trade from the East and West. Guarding this vital region, the Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM, Royal Malaysian Air Force) calls upon 18 and 15 Skuadrons (Skn, Squadrons) that respectively operate the F/A-18D Hornet and the Hawk Mk108/208.

BUTTERWORTH IN MALAYSIA is an air base steeped in history. started out under the tenure of the Royal Air Force, before passing to Australian operators, which remained there until the Even now, the Royal Australian Air Force maintains an important footprint there, although today it is primarily the home of the Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM, Royal Malaysian Air Force, RMAF) and one of the main hubs for its f ghter aircraft community.
