Twelve months into his new role, Finnair CEO Topi Manner is preparing to launch an ambitious five-year plan which aims to future-proof the airline. Fellow Finn Satu Dahl visited Manner at the firm’s Helsinki headquarters to talk fleet, sustainability and a rather big birthday.

It is there that I meet the airline’s chief executive officer, Topi Manner who is feeling buoyant upon reflecting on his first twelve months in the job.
