It is sometimes said that you can achieve anything if you believe in it strongly enough. Dr Robert Pleming was the personification of that notion. Here was someone who not only stood out from the crowd, but had the courage to lead one. Here was someone with a dream that was dismissed 100 times over as folly and fancy. Here was someone who really made a difference.
