Industry looks to the East

WITH MORE than $5bn of sales announced in the five days from February 19-23, the biennial IDEX is a place where defence companies want to be. This year there were in excess of 1,200 exhibitors. For those wanting to do business, the message was louder and clearer than ever before: if you are not prepared to work with local partners, be flexible, or transfer technologies, you are wasting your time. The days of a straight sale appear long gone.
