The infamous Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor is recalled at a superb museum on the site. Peter Colwill took a trip back in time through its two historic hangars

PEARL HARBOR

Founded on Hawaii’s Ford Island in 1999, the attraction now known as the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum opened its first exhibition hangar on December 7, 2006. Then called the Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor, it now utilises two hangars that were in American use during the Japanese attack on the base on December 7, 1941.
