Overhauled Mi-17s

Four Mi-17s helicopters overhauled by Russian Helicopters at the Novosibirsk Aviation Repair Plant were airlifted back to the Magyar Légierö (Hungarian Air Force) on May 20 and 21. In February 2016, Russian Helicopters won a tender issued by the Hungarian Ministry of Defence for the overhaul of all four of the nation’s Mi- 17s. The contract valued at £14 million was signed in July the same year. Following overhaul, the service life of each Mi-17 helicopter and their engines is extended by 2,000 flight hours or ten years of service, whichever is reached first.
