Bournemouth Air Festival 2020
The award-winning Bournemouth Air Festival returns for its 13th consecutive year, priding itself on being one of the biggest free air events in Europe.
With not just a wide range of military and civil display acts, the Bournemouth Air Festival is bigger than your standard airshow, with an after-dark display, flares, fireworks and entertainment for all. There are also displays, stalls and attractions on the ground and even Royal Navy vessels at sea!
The 2019 show saw military air displays from the Royal Air Force with displays from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF), Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4, Boeing Chinook, along with the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm's Black Cats helicopter display team. The US Navy also featured with a flypast from a Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft. Civil acts included rarities such as the Swedish Air Force Historic Flight's SAAB J35 Draken and the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron's Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star and Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15.
Adding to 2019, the 2020 show looks set to be bigger and better, with the return of the RAFAT Red Arrows, who were absent from the 2019 as they were on tour in North America.
