English Riveria (Torbay) Airshow 2020
The English Riveria (Torbay) Airshow is returning for its fourth year, with organisers promising the show will be "bigger and better."
The event returns despite fears that the show would be cancelled before the 2019 show by the local Council due it not being able to support costs as it had in previous years. A new sponsor was found and the show goes on.
The 2019 event saw Royal Air Force displays from the world-renowned RAFAT Red Arrows, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) and the Eurofighter Typhoon FGR.4 multi-role fighter. The Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm were present with the RN Black Cat display team, demonstrating the skills of the AgustaWestland AW.159 Wildcat HMA.2 multi-role naval helicopter. The Blades Aerobatic Team and BAC Strikemaster also added to the air display during the weekend.
Not everything happens in the air though, "with a whole selection of stands, bars, food stalls, display teams, activities for the whole family and not to mention the fairground."
