The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) - CANCELLED

The Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) is set to return next summer at RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire. Held on the 17th, 18th and 19th of July, the world-class show allows visitors to marvel at hundreds of international military, civilian and historic aircraft both on the ground and in the air.

The show is an action-packed day out for all the family, having an eight-and-a-half hour long flying display across Saturday and Sunday, along with attractions on the ground with Techno Zone, the RAF Experience and Vintage Village among the highlights.

2019 saw 245 aircraft in attendance, including military aircraft from 39 separate air arms from 25 nations. The Air Tattoo also boasted flying displays from rare aircraft such as the Romanian MiG-21MF-75 LanceR-C, a pair of Spanish Navy McDonnell Douglas EAV-8B Matador II+s and the Ukrainian Air Force's Sukhoi Su-27 "Flanker" display. It also saw a variety of interesting aircraft on the ground, including a pair of Turkish Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-4E-2020 Terminators, a US Air Force Boeing B-52H Stratofortress and a Ukrainian Air Force Ilyushin Il-76MD "Candid."
