Warbirds Over Wanaka 2020
The thrilling Warbirds Over Wanaka returns in 2020, after a two-year break. The show boasts a mix of modern, historic and civil air displays.
The biennial show, which started in 1988, features many modern Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) aircraft, alongside international displays, historic aircraft and civilian displays. The 2018 show saw the debut of the US Air Force (USAF) at the event with a Boeing C-17A Globemaster III and Lockheed Martin F-16CM Fighting Falcon display. A show which 2020 looks to build from.
Friday, April 10, is practice day.
Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, are airshow display days where there will be continuous action in the flying programme from 10am to 4pm.
Gates open at 7.30am on all three days. All airshow parking is free.
