-Odd how people try and argue the point
It's the law and that's final, it has to be adhered to in just the same way as airlines have to adhere to the law.
Rules is rules.
I do hope they have to pay for the diversion (as a drunk once had do on a Dan Air flight) and also cough up for all the hotels rooms for the other passengers.
Like with everything else, if they don't have to the rest of will one way or another.
