As I live under the flight path of Leeds/ Bradford (LBA) I track to see what is going overhead, but what surprises me is the age of their fleet, 16-26 years seems the norm. What's the reason for using such old a/c? Is it's 'cos they are cheap to aquire?
But they will be more expensive to mantain and not fuel efficient by today's standards.
I have flown with Jet2 and the a/c are well maintained and they don't show there age when flying in them, and I'm more than happy to fly in them, but from a money point of view a money pit?
