Hi,

Are any of you thinking of going along to the Paris Air Show in the Spring?

Myself and A330Crazy have decided that we will be attending the event at Le Bourget Airport on the 18th and 19th June. We hope to spend a day at the show and another day at Charles-de-Gaulle.

We hope to fly with Air France from Heathrow with a ticket costing about £69. For £1 less than that is British Airways and for another £1 less there is bmi. What makes us want to go with Air France is the aircraft providing the return flight - an A318!

So, is anyone else interested in joining us or are any of you likely to be there on one of the public days?

I think that sounds like a good idea, It's about time I actually commited myself to a foreign meet instead of just talking about them.

Count me in... :D

Not sure if I will go, but I would like to very much. The A380 alone should make it worthwhile.

Compared to Farn the PAS is better in the static display. Also remember the massive museum! That Jaguar, Harrier and Hunter at Farn are really no comparrison. The air display at Farn is better though, since you can get very close to the runway.

If I go I will go two days. One day for the show and one day for CDG. Going by car obviously since I like driving and flying from AMS/EIN to Paris is expensive. More so than driving anyway. Perhaps we could all get into Peter1 for a spin around CDG?

Well, we'll see by then. First have some free days to book!

As things stand Ryanair want £103 from Prestwick to Beauvais and BA want £109 for Glasgow to Charles De Gaulle. I think I know what's best ?

And besides..FR are a pain in the neck... they might change your homeward flight to another day and charge you to put it back as how you booked it :diablo:

Don't I know it. They had one chance to impress me. I'll never fly with them again.

Just like they did with a Dublin family who got evacuated from their holiday in the Tsunami region. They got back early and Ryanair charged them for changing their flights back home!!!

I would be up for that - as long as I ain't working he he

Ren, what flights would you be catching - I guess I would be travelling down with you :P

The early BA from GLA (0645?) on the 18th and something around 1625 for the return on the 19th...?

I'll need to look at the website again for the exact details and timings.

Remember the GLA flight doesn't go direct, it goes via Manchester I think, so you get 4 flights in all...

I used to work for the Hilton and one of the guys that still works there may be able to get discounts, as chance happens I'm meeting him tonight - he has a gig at King Tut's.

I'll let you all know.
