-I'd do anything to get on an ERJ-145 or something just as small.
Mind you, I'm definitely looking forward to my first A340 flight in September :) and it's a -600, too!

-They've been using ERJs on regional LHR services at the weekends for a couple of years now.

-Thanks for that David :).
Michael - as much as im looking forward to the ERJ, i'd swap for an A346!

A couple of years? Are you sure about that? I thought the smallest aircraft used by bmi to regularly serve Heathrow was the Fokker 100s.
I was sure the 145s were quite a recent aircraft at Heathrow.

-Michael - I did a quick search on a.net, and found photos of bmi Embraers at LHR in 2003, so David is right.
Thanks for the link Flex, your reports are always excellent :).

I looked into Swiss but the flights that were being suggested in order to get a good deal were a little stupid. You had to fly to Zurich on day 1. On day 2, you would fly from Zurich to Hong Kong and finally arrive on day 3. It was a similiar situation coming back, hence choosing Virgin Atlantic instead. Probably the cheapest option available.

Great report, Flex 35!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. :)
I think its good to write a trip report if you have enjoyed your flights and also if you have pictures to accompany it.

Ah right, was better for me to go from MAN, than to trek down to LHR you see. :)

-Isn't this thread about bmi regional's ERJ 145s from LBA rather than a thread about Swiss and Virgin's A340s to Hong Kong?

I'll think you find if you actually look at my report it is in total relation to the thread. While your little discussion about Virgin and Swiss's hairdryier A340s is not at all linked, maybe start another thread about it. ;)

I'd say its actually about both. You could even talk about your upcoming trip to Jerez if you like?

If it was orginally ment to be about both topics then I apologise. :)
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Just signed into my booking, (Dont even know why), and seen it lists my flight on the 29th October LBA-LHR as an A319 (As expected), but on the return it lists it as an ERJ145!
Is LHR-LBA generally a 145 on a Saturday night, and could this change?
Well chuffed, after 20 flights in a row on a Boeing, a Dash 8, A319 and an ERJ this year (All types ive never flown on :D).
