I wanted to make sure of something. I could of sworn I saw an OA A300-600R land at LHR today (24/08/05) just before midday but what's confusing me is that I read the airline had retired their AB6s (to Iran Air) earlier this year. Can someone please confirm?

I can always check http://www.lhr-lgw.co.uk/heathrow/auglhrindex.html in a few days but I thought someone here might know.

According to BAA, on a Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Olympic uses the A300 to Athens.

I know that OAL266 was operated by A300-600s on the 18th and 21st of this month, London-Athens.

Yes you did and no you didnt.

Two of their A300s went to Iran Air, they are still operating SX-BEM however.

Currently that site shows you which a/c operated all the Olympic flights upto 17/8. SX-BEM appeared every day from 12th thro' 17th. OAL seem to vary the a/c type a fair bit though; on 11/8 all 3 flights operated on A340s.

I commonly visit LHR on Sundays and usually get A340's and B737's

Again, from the BAA website: 737s, A340s and A300s are the only aircraft scheduled to serve Heathrow, with the 737s and A340s being a slightly more common sight than the A300.
