Hey guys just read on the Justplanes website that flyJet will shortley be adding the 767-200ER to its fleet anyone have any more info?? i think it would look quite smart in the flyjet colours???

flyJet says

Flyjet has contracted to lease a Boeing 767-200ER aircraft to add to the Boeing 757-200 aircraft it currently operates. The aircraft is powered by General Electric CF6-80A2 engines and will be configured with 16 business and 215 economy class seats.

The aircraft, manufacturer’s serial number 23624, is currently undergoing a heavy maintenance check and cabin refurbishment before delivery in the coming autumn.

Shaun Dewey, director, said, “We are a flexible organisation and we have seen our business of providing capacity for tour operators and others growing satisfactorily. There has been growing interest for services requiring a larger aircraft with longer range so we have taken this step.”

Director Mike Hawkins said, “Introducing a new type of aircraft into a small airline like Flyjet is an exacting business and over the next few months we will be concluding development of the procedures and staff training to operate the aircraft to our standards.

Flyjet is a privately owned UK airline which started services in 2003 operating two Boeing 757-200 aircraft. It flies frequently from bases at Gatwick and Manchester to the Mediterranean, West Africa and India and also holds licences to operate transatlantic services.

The aircraft was delivered originally to LAN Chile in March 1986 as CC-CJV. It then went on to Transbrasil in 1993 as PT-TAH. In 1999 it was returned to ILFC and re-registered N151LF. It went to Air Madagascar in 2000 as 5R-MFE before going to UBN as N769BC. It was then leased out to the Cameroon Government as TJ-AAC last year before returning to UBN as N769BC.

I think it could be G-FJEC, though that was planned for a 757 originally.
