The AN-24 aircraft was on its way to Slovakia, from Kosovo, when it crashed in Telkibanya. A Hungarian government spokesman said the plane came down near the Slovak border at about 7.30pm (GMT). The Hungarian Disaster Management Agency said the aircraft had caught fire. "What we know is there were more than 40 people on board, that the aircraft crashed in an uninhabited area," said agency spokesman Tibor Dobson.
