The Aviation News from Northern Ireland:

It looks like the BAe 146 that was involved in that accident over the Irish Sea has been moved from Belfast City. A friend informs me it is not back in service yet.

Bombarider Aerospace has recently took on a new CEO who used to run the Canadian National Railway. He was able to turn CNR around and was then asked to join Bombarider to turn it around as according to media he is regarded as the "King" of business turnarounds in Canada! He plans to start visiting all Bombarider Plants starting Janurary and Shorts will be included.

The new Air Bridge paid for completly by bmi British Midland is nearing complection at Belfast City Airport. Due to the area needed to install it, Belfast City is currently at 2/3 of normal capacity. By sheer fluke ATC were flustered at the weekend as two bmi A320/1 aircraft turned up at once. They ended up parking one on a stand normally used for ATP (wing span took up another stand) and then parking a bmi A321 in Star Aliance livery accross two parking bays parallel with the Terminal! A First at BHD! (Aparently this caused an air stair shortage as there is only two sets for A320 class aircraft at BHD so they had to share!
