-Not a commercial aircraft, but 6 days after I was born the Halifax Mk III 1st production aircraft (HX226) made its maiden flight.
And you guys think you are old!
The 2nd prototype Constellation (43-10310) first flew in that month, if anyone knows the date I would really like to know, to put it in my first flights database.

Well, as we know, the first Constellation flew on 9th January, 1943, so very soon afterwards, the second would have flown...... Incidentally, the second production L-049 was flying on the 17th April, 1944.

-And for my date of birth, 13/10/1983:
Airbus A300B4-203, MSN 282
Glory Days:
Registered as TU-TAT with Air Afrique, and was written off 12/02/2000 on the ground at Dakar,Senegal when the lefthand main undercarriage leg was retracted during taxi.
Ouch:
Airbus A310-203, MSN 273.
1st Incarnation
Registered as D-AICL with Lufthansa, however, on 15/09/1994, she was converted to an A310 freighter, and registered with FedEx as N409FE,with whom she still operates to this day.
Now:
Cheers, Mike

-Thanks for the reminder, Newforest, as a matter of interest the 1st prototype Constellation had another "first flight" as the Super Constellation prototype, on October 13, 1960, after being owned for a while by none other than Howard Hughes.

-All I did was enter airfleets.net, clicked 'Airplane' on the right hand column, selected 'Production List', and searched by date, between 1983 and 1984 for each type. When the results were displayed I hit Ctrl-F (using Firefox, although I think this works with IE7 as well) and punched in 13/10. Hey presto, found my planes. Then just searched on Airliners.net by registration under advanced search.
Hope this helps :)

-Just had a quick look and only saw the one:
EMB120 started life with United Express (Westair) and is still active now with Skippers Aviation.

-Well, nothing that 'first flew' on my birthday on 15/07/1986, but closest one to that date would be this Thai Airways Airbus A300-601, registration HS-TAE, which first flew on 13/08/1986 and is still in current active service with the same airline!

Hey guys.
Just been looking on airliners.net, and found a thread with the title above, and found it quite interesting.
Basically, which aircraft made their first flight the same day you were born? Because I am slightly bored, using airfleets.net, I found mine. I would love to see other people's, along with photos of the aircraft in their first livery, and last/current guise! Here's mine. (29/09/1988).
