A company named Specialist Travel in operating a special flight on a BAC 1-11 of EAC. The 1-11 is being withdrawn this year from passenger flights in the UK, so unless you happen to be in Africa or maybe South America where some examples could still be flying this maybe one of the last opportunities to fly in this type near to home. The flight is going from Liverpool to Paris Beauvais on Sunday 24 March 2002 departing around 07.00 and landing back at about 21.30. They are offering some coach transfers into Paris and maybe visits to the other Paris airports for spotting. You can contact them on 01274 586262 ask for Peter Trueman. With coach transfers i believe the fare is £159.00rtn

RE: BAC 1.11 trip

Yeah - these trips are gr8 - i went on a B757 enthusiastys flight from EGNM b4 Xmas run by the same company - it was well worth the £59 for that trip - the reason is the BAC 1-11 has to be retired on 1st April due to the Stage 3 noise limits - unfortunatly i am away on this date so i wont be able to go, but i presume they will be sending me a pack soon as i am on their mailing list

RE: BAC 1.11 trip

I was considering going on the EAC BAC 1.11 trip from Bournemouth, think its in march but i heard it was full so i can't go.They also did a concorde flight for enthusiasts from Bournemouth to heathrow.
I am going to try and get a flight on an Airtours 757 at the JER airshow in september, you fly right along the bay where the airshow takes place, its looks fab!i heard they were allowing people to go in it this year so hopefully i might get a ticket!

RE: BAC 1.11 trip

I have booked on the LPL-PAR day trip today. I also have friends in Paris so it will be nice to see them and to fly from my local airport instead of MAN with AF/BA. Its also fun to go on a 1-11 again a truely successful British made airliner !

The Last time I was on one was Ryanair LPL-DUB

That Ju-52

Does it fly around like that? With those colours?
What is the feeling of the people about something reminding them about a time they would rather forget?
