-Working at OSL, I don't think there's a market for it.
Norwegian hit the nail on the head with their Premier League campaign, So many Norwegians go over to watch the football I'm amazed another carrier hasn't started to Manchester or Liverpool. The SAS flight always seems to be booked solid, most times I try to book OSL MAN direct I end up being offered a stop over in CPH, I'd rather do OSL LHR MAN with BA.
If Norwegian go ahead with the EWR route, they might consider a route up north. Lots of US PAX have family here.
Edited to add, driving from Oslo up to you via Geirangerfjord and maybe a night in Ålesund is something every visitor should do !

The norwegian airliner Norwegian (DY) is operating flights between the norwegian cities Oslo (OSL), Bergen (BGO), Stavanger (SVG), Trondheim, Tromsø (TOS) and London Gatwick (LGW).
They are now considering a new route between the northwestern parts of Norway and London (LGW). The reason for them to consider this route is that they see a potential marked of tourists from the UK to this part of Norway, and an easy access for norwegians (and others of course) living in this region to the UK.
For the time beeing it is a journey of about 6 hours between Molde airport (MOL) and London (LGW and LHR) regardless of wich airliner you fly with. This could be reduced to about 2,5 hours with an direct connection.
SAS also flies between Norway and the UK. They are using both LGW and LHR in London (they also have flights to other UK airports), and flies from OSL, BGO and SVG in Norway.
To influence and to show the airliners that an airroute between London and Molde would be very much appreciated I have started a facebook group. I take no position on wich airliner should operate the route. The most important issue is that we can get closer to London and the rest of the world, as well as london and the rest of the world can get closer to this region of Norway.
So, what do you think. Is there a market for an route like this? Many Britons choose to travel to this region of Norway, both for winter and summer activities, and business as well. Would you use this connection if it was realized?
