-critism welcome!
I think they're rubbish. I mean look, many of the aircraft in the shots aren't even centred properly!
You lucky b*stard. :diablo: ;)
SUPERB work!
*Note to self: Book air tickets to SXM - now!*
P.S: apologies for my attitude - Ive had a go at the Whisky and coke.

-You want criticism? OK. They're rubbish. All of them. I also hate you, you Mancunian git.
Well... OK, so I'm a poor liar! They're superb mate, all of them. It's just a shame there wasn't a slight bit more space above the wingtips of the Corsair 744 and AA 757! It looks an incredible place, and if our little trip there next year comes off I'll be one very happy person!
Glad you had a good time fella, and can I assume you'll be posting more as you edit them? Please! :)
Paul
P.S. You flew on an MD-11. I DO hate you! :p

-Thanks for the comments guys. E-GPF, Unfortuently not many of the pilots were playing with the throttles so even though abit of sand was kicked up it wasn't that powerful. I did get a picture of someone going head first into the sea -

THAT IS SO COMICAL :D
Some brilliant pictures there and I think that you have given a lot of us some inspiration to visit this wonderful place.
Have just got my quote with Air France :D
All the best
Adam

They love it, it's why they stand behind it - I didn't actaully stand right behind one but I was kindof at the side when an Insel MD80 departed and he had his feet on the brakes with full throttles!

Adam, we flew KLM - The takeoff from SXM to AUA in an MD-11 is so impressive!

-Excellent work mate! So did you plan this with all the jp.net lot that you know from MAN etc?
If you don't mind me asking...how did you afford it? Was it like "well its a once in a lifetime chance so why not spend a huge amount of money"? Were you staying in the Sonesta? I've heard that's even more expensive than the flights!

-Superb photos. The guy going head first into the sea is comical :D what a place, and definetly one to visit. How long were you away for ? Also, are the aircraft frequently landing at SXM ?
Thanks

Dan, because we booked for 3 people we got quite a good deal - We paid a little extra for KLM but that was fine.
I have abit of money in my bank from saving it, I did quite abit of work with my dad so I got paid for that and my mum helped me out
And yeah, me, Dale and James planned it :)
Thanks for the comments everyone :D

-Sounds sweet!
How many days were you there, did you see any more of the island other than Maho beach?
What are prices like for things like booze/food/transport once you're there? I'd love to squeeze it into my gap year next Spring....but can't quite get my head round finances just yet.

Hey guys,
Just got back to St. Maarten today - Absouletly awesome place, managed to fly the 733, DH6, F100 and MD11 in a week, not bad :) For everyone who think SXM is over-rated etc it's nonsense, the whole place is awesome! Anyway here are the shots...
Spirit A319 with a stunning backdrop...
Continental winglets over Maho Beach...
Corsair 747-400!...
One of many Liat's, but there approaches make it a somewhat interesting subject to shoot...
Dale Coleman got a wee bit drunk so I 'borrowed' his 10-22mm and whent to shoot the AA B757...
Then off to St. Barths...
Duck...
P4-WEA...
Coley ducking :D...
Comments, critism welcome!
Thanks,
Sam
