-I had a couple of problems with my AI 747-400, it wouldn't turn properly while taxiing and when you stopped the push-back the nose sort of went up hovered for a second and went back down.

-Why do people not increase the speed (time thing) when flying long haul, makes sense to me, thats how I can do long haul flights on a school day, just set it to normal when landing/taking off

-Hi,Just out of interest, does anyone experience the same problems that I do with the Project Open Sky Airbus A330 and A340 models and the 747-400s, too?
Basically, that problem is that it is practically impossible to make a safe landing because the aircraft, even when approaching on the ILS and at a sensible speed i.e. 140 to 150 knots, seems to be swallowed up by the ground and then explodes.
Does anybody know of a way of changing this? I'd love to try some long haul flights when I have some days off next week but at the moment, its impossible.
Thanks.
What version of FS are you using?
What weight are you landing at? (approx. fuel percentage & loads)

Its FS2004.
But now you mention loads, I think that is going to be the problem. I'll try another quick flight and report back in a little while. :)

Thats cheating :diablo:
i normally set up a long haul flight befor i go to bed....get to cruise altitude and set speed...then wake up in the morning and find out the computer has done a virus check, crashed or logged on to internet to get the auto updates and find out ive only done 400Nm from when i left it because Fs has paused

i don't understand how u can go to bed and leave flight sim running? what happens when you need to reply to ATC or change frequencies - if u don't reply, ATC get annoyed, and close your flight plan?

Either:
1: He didnt have a flightplan
2: He didnt contact ATC after takeoff
or (the one i use the most  )
3: Make an IFR flight, take off and take it to cruise alt, speed etc... Then when you get told to hand off the the next centre, hand off, but dont contact the next centre... leaving you in a kind of ATC Limbo until you're nearer your destination, or ready to contact ATC again.

Do you have your parking breaks set when pushing back? When I do that, I get the same problem as you.

-Either way it still hovers up for a couple of seconds.....
