Ever wanted to convert to the de Havilland Tiger Moth? Well here is your chance! The de Havilland Educational Trust (deHET) set up in 2006 is offering you the chance to apply for a flying bursary to learn to master this historic aircraft.

Each year deHET will award a maximum of two bursaries to fund ten hours flying on de Havilland Tiger Moth aircraft at the Cambridge Flying Group (CFG) or at an alternative establishment/location subject to agreement. The bursaries are to enable licensed pilots to convert onto the de Havilland Tiger Moth, with the aim of providing a new and continuing stream of experience for the operation of vintage aeroplanes.

All they want is for you to be a current UK licence holder (any class) for a powered aircraft with a minimum of 75 hours pilot in command.

Interested?

For more information and an application form, contact Stuart McKay MBE, Secretary, de Havilland Educational Trust (deHET), Staggers, 23 Hall Park Hill, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, HP4 2NH.

Alternatively contact the Trust at dhet@dhmothclub.co.uk for further information and Bursary application forms!

Closing date for completed forms is 31 March 2008.

Good luck everybody!

The de Havilland Educational Trust is a Registered Charity No 1117043

Why not apply anyway?

If you don't think you qualify this year, contact the Trust anyway so that they have your details and can make sure you are one of the first to find out about the 2009 Bursary.

What have you got to lose?
