Understand that the aircraft was a Tripacer based at Popham.

Thank goodness all the occupants survived. Mountains or trees - a difficult dilemma, but I can't help wondering whether there might not have been a third option, which would have saved both them and the aircraft. Whatever happened to the concept of turning back? Wicked Willip :diablo:

As a cadet on 1163 Colne Valley Squadron, I used to fly in her on a regular basis. I was very fond of this particular aircraft and very sad to hear about this, glad to see no one was hurt though.
