-Does that mean an end to those tacky and utterly ridiculous Hummer limousines that chavs hire for nights out to make themselves feel more important?

-I do hope so, well any stretched vehicle for that matter!

-I fear that's too much to hope for!

-The civilian Hummer has always been a pretty pointless bit of kit for the under endowed.

-...So the longer the Hummer, the greater the level of over-compensating...?!

We have one of those around here - it's bloody PINK! Like, luminous, shocking, oh-my-god-my-eyes-are-burning pink!
Still, I don't recall seeing it for a while. Maybe the owners saw sense...? ;)

...And burned it out to claim the insurance? At least it would be a better colour! :D

-Just been on Radio 2 news about it, they mentioned that the likes of Arnie and Beckham buy Hummer. So the Beeb are hardly helping GM flog the brand, are they? :p
By: 25th February 2010 at 10:14 Permalink - Edited 1st January 1970 at 01:00
-Any money on offers for the brand from Russia or China???
By: 25th February 2010 at 10:34 Permalink - Edited 1st January 1970 at 01:00
-They were talking with China but they obviously saw sense and pulled out of the deal leaving GM with little option but to shut it down.

Which Hummer did not make.
People do stupid things to Rolls and Mercedes too.
The military Humvee is still in production by AM General.
GM just marketed the civil vehicles.
The H2 and H3 were just rebodied GM vehicles...which were built in GM factories.
I'd like a used civil H1 (or a ex military Humvee) as an occasional winter vehicle.
I'd love to explore Montana and Wyoming in the winter.

Beat me to it. The proper Hummer weighs about the same as Africa and to drive it in UK you need a HGV licence.

-That Rolls with the Merlin Engine in it did NOT look stupid!
It ripped the concrete off the autobahns!
......a DVLA search shows the engine capacity as 27000cc (LoL)

Ha! I meant the Hummer limos, and in fact all stretched cars like that. They not only look crap but they have a turning circle wider than the Pride Of Hull. Stupid, stupid vehicles!

I agree.
My point is don't blame GM/Hummer for something they did not build...
